These Terms outline the rights, responsibilities, and obligations of both GEX and the traveler. Please read them carefully before making a booking.
1. INTRODUCTION
These Terms and Conditions govern all bookings and travel arrangements made with GEX for your trip to Ghana or any other destination offered by us. By confirming a booking, you agree to abide by these Terms.
2. Booking and Payment
2.1 Booking Confirmation
A deposit of 40% of the total trip cost is required to confirm your booking.
The remaining balance is due at least 7 days prior to the scheduled departure date.
2.2 Payment Methods
GEX accepts payments through bank transfers, credit/debit cards, and PayPal.
Payment instructions will be provided upon booking confirmation.
2.3 Late Payments
Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in the cancellation of your booking. Deposits are non-refundable in such cases.
3. Cancellation and Refund Policy
3.1 Cancellation by the Traveler
Cancellations made 14 days or more before the departure date will receive a full refund of all payments made.
Cancellations made within 14 days of departure will incur a 10% deduction from the total amount paid.
3.2 Cancellation by GEX
In the unlikely event that GEX cancels your trip, you will receive a full refund of all payments made.
3.3 Refund Processing
Refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days after the cancellation request is confirmed.
4. Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is not included in the package but is strongly recommended.
It is the responsibility of the traveler to secure adequate travel insurance to cover medical expenses, trip cancellations, lost luggage, and other unforeseen events.
5. Itinerary Changes
GEX reserves the right to modify the itinerary due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to weather conditions, safety concerns, political unrest, or supplier issues.
Any significant changes will be promptly communicated, and suitable alternatives will be offered when possible.
6. Health and Safety
6.1 Fitness to Travel
Travelers are responsible for ensuring they are in good health and fit to travel.
Any medical conditions, allergies, or dietary restrictions must be disclosed to GEX at the time of booking.
6.2 Compliance with Safety Measures
Travelers must adhere to all safety instructions provided by tour guides or operators during the trip.
7. Liability
GEX acts as an agent for independent suppliers providing accommodations, transportation, activities, and other services.
GEX is not liable for any injury, illness, loss, delay, accident, or irregularity caused by these suppliers.
GEX shall not be held responsible for circumstances beyond its control, such as natural disasters, strikes, pandemics, or other force majeure events.
8. Passport, Visa, and Travel Documentation
Travelers are responsible for ensuring they have a valid passport and any required visas or permits for entry into Ghana or any other destination.
GEX will provide guidance on visa requirements but cannot be held responsible for the denial of entry due to improper documentation.
9. Code of Conduct
Travelers are expected to behave in a respectful and lawful manner throughout the trip.
GEX reserves the right to remove any traveler from the trip without refund if their behavior is deemed:
Disruptive
Offensive to local customs and cultures
A danger to the safety of others
10. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
10.1 Complaints During the Trip
Any issues or complaints should be reported immediately to the GEX team to allow for timely resolution.
10.2 Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to first attempt informal negotiation before pursuing legal action.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Ghana.
Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana.
12. Privacy and Data Protection
GEX collects personal information for the purpose of processing bookings and providing travel services.
Your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which ensures confidentiality and compliance with applicable data protection laws.
13. Acceptance of Terms
By making a booking and paying the deposit, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
